Bridgeport News: Arrest Made In Shopkeeper’s Murder
#Bridgeport CT--Police arrested Leighton Vanderberg of 63 Blake Street, New Haven for the homicde of 57 year old Jose Salgado of at Sapio Grocery on Lexington Avenue Saturday. He is currently in custody in New Haven on unrelated charge and will be brought to Superior court in Bridgeport in the next couple of days. Police are still looking for Treizy Lopez for felony murder. The bond for each warrant is one million dollars.

Bridgeport News: Shots Fired
8:50pm--#Bridgeport CT--Police called for shots fired at Charles and Parrot Avenue, they are also on French Street investigating. A man was shot in the chest at the intersection of Whitney and Charles Street. That victim is in critical condition. So far no reports of anyone or anything being hit. UPDATE: Two shell casings and a slug has been recovered off of French Street.
Fairfield News: Missing Person/Boater
Westport Police Press Release: Department received a call from Fairfield Police Department in regards to a missing person investigation initiated out of their town. A search of known places that the missing person frequented resulted in locating his vehicle at Burying Hill Beach in Westport. With the help of Fairfield PD, Norwalk PD, and the US Coast Guard; the waters off of Westport were searched. Fairfield PD located the victims’ rowing skull beached on Cockeone Island. 8:12pm--#Fairfield CT--A juvenile was skateboard on Dill Road and saw a person aim a gun at him. Police investigate and find it was a toy gun. The incident closed local streets and Fairfield University was taken off alert. UPDATE: Police tell me it was a father and son playing with Legos and the skateboarder thought it a gun.
