#Westport Connecticut---On 06/09/16 at approximately 7:00pm, Westport Officers were dispatched to Exxon, 1510 Post Road East, on a report that a male and female  ttempted to make a large cigarette purchase using a fraudulent credit card. The store clerk immediately recognized the suspects as they attempted a similar purchase a week earlier. The suspects left the store prior to police arrival. Officers located the suspect’s vehicle a short time later in the Shake Shack parking lot unoccupied. Officers located the suspects, Geraldy Beraud and Aliyah Somerville inside the restaurant.  Officers then located several credit cards with Beraud’s and Somerville’s names on them in the Shake Shack bathroom garbage. State Police Detectives Seize Weapons, Cash, and Narcotics

#Bridgeport, CT. (June 14, 2016): State Police Detectives from the Statewide Narcotics Task Force - Southwest office (SNTF-SW) and the Statewide Urban Violence & Cooperative Crime Control Task Force (SUVCCC) seized firearms,  narcotics and cash after serving a Search and Seizure warrant in Bridgeport. On June 13, 2016 detectives from the SNTF-SW and SUVCCC conducted surveillance on an apartment at 182 Hanover St. in Bridgeport after receiving intelligence information that the resident, William Akeem Hooks, was trafficking assault rifles and other firearms that were being obtained from southern states along the east coast. While conducting surveillance detectives witnessed Hooks conduct the sale of a firearm. Coast Guard Suspends Seaside Park Search For Missing Boater

The Coast Guard suspended its search Monday evening for a person in the water in the vicinity of Seaside Park in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Coast Guard crews searched for nearly 24 hours and covered 78 square miles, south of Bridgeport. During the search, the air temperature was 50 degrees with 25 knots of winds. Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Long Island Sound command center received a report of a person in the water at approximately 5:15 p.m. Sunday. It was reported that at approximately 4:30 p.m., two men entered the water from their 14-foot inflatable raft. One male was able to swim to shore but lost sight of the other person in the water.
