Bridgeport Police Department Investigates Marijuana Producing Residence

Bridgeport, Conn. (October 27, 2015 Press Release) -- The Bridgeport Police Department announced an investigation into a residence with multiple marijuana plants. On October 25,, 2015 at around 4:35 p.m., the Bridgeport Police Department received a call about a reported burglary in progress at a residence on Reservoir Ave. near the corner of Victory Ave. Upon arrival, police officers found a side door at the residence that appeared to have been forced open. Police officers believed the burglary suspect was inside the residence and conducted a search of the premises. 4:39pm--#Fairfield CT-- Commerce Drive in front of the Audi dealer is closed to traffic due to a large leak of hydraulic fluid. It appears the truck delivering cars leaked the fluid as police were checking his paperwork out at the scene. Firefighters on scene requested 20 more bags of speedy dry to the scene. Bridgeport, Conn. (October 26, 2015 Press Release) – Te Bridgeport Police Department reported the arrest of a woman -- Shontaizjah Fleming (01/12/92) -- on several charges related to criminal possession of a firearm and marijuana. More specifically, Fleming was charged with: possession of carrying a pistol without a permit, criminal possession of a firearm, theft of a firearm, possession of a dangerous weapon, possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle, and possession of marijuana. Bond has been set at $20,000. Police officers also consider Fleming a person of interest while investigating a non-fatal shooting that took place on Sunday, October 25, 2015.
