Bridgeport Police Report: – Detectives released the identity of a man fatally shot Saturday evening.
Police responded to 500 Park Aveon the report of a shooting.  Officers located two victims.
According to witnesses, one victim, Derrick Hill, 33, of Bridgeport, was eating at Rootsman Kitchen and, as he left the restaurant, was confronted by a gunman.  Hill fled back into the restaurant. The gunman fired multiple shots, striking Hill and an employee of the restaurant. Hill was pronounced dead at the scene.
The second victim, Dennis Hines, 50, was wounded in the buttocks and taken to Saint Vincent’s Medical Center. His injuries were not life threatening.

6:30ish–#Bridgeport CT–Detectives are investigating a shooting that reported happened inside the Rootsman Kitchen at 500 Park Avenue.  I’ll have more information from police shortly.
