#Bridgeport CT– On April 27th, 2017, Bridgeport Police responded to Saint Vincent’s Hospital on a report of an assault. According to witnesses, Victor Diaz (DOB: 9/12/1990) was assaulted by several friends at Dewhirst Street and Baker Street, during which he suffered an asthma attack.  Diaz was admitted to the hospital and three days later, on April 30th, 2017, he died. A subsequent autopsy concluded that his death was directly related to the attack and was ruled a homicide. 

Latia Quarles (DOB: 1/19/94 of 575 Burnsford Ave) was arrested and charged with Manslaughter in the First Degree for her role in Diaz’s death. She is being held on $150,000 bond. Additional arrests are expected shortly.
