Heartsaver Training

Stratford EMS, in partnership with the Stratford Volunteer EMS Association  (SVEMSA) will be hosting an American Heart Association (AHA) Heartsaver CPR / AED training for the public. The training will include both lecture and skills training and will cover cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the use of automated external defibrillators (AED’s). I-95 Crashes

10:40pm--#cttraffic--Two separate I-95 crashes to report on.  One accident is I-95 southbound exit 23 off-ramp.  A second accident is on I-95 southbound near exit 22 between a tractor-trailer and a car.  The tractor-trailer admitted to state police he was changing from the center to the right lane and did not see the car.  The driver in the car is injured and being transported to the hospital with unknown injuries.

Norwalk News: Overdose Arrest

On October 8, 2017, at 11:12pm Norwalk Police responded to a drug overdose in an Uber at the intersection of Grist Mill and Route 7. Norwalk Hospital EMS revived the victim and transported the victim to the Norwalk Hospital. The victim was in possession of heroin, which later tested positive for Fentanyl. Norwalk Detectives initiated an investigation into the incident. The investigation, led by Detective Taranto, revealed that the victim had purchased the drugs from Kyle Lors. Based on the investigation, an arrest warrant was issued for Lors. Detectives arrested Lors without incident at his residence on February 8, 2018. Orange, CT (February 13, 2018): Connecticut State Troopers seize over one pound of marijuana, over one half kilogram of powder cocaine and approximately $2500.00 in cash during a motor vehicle stop. On February 13, 2018 at approximately 12:30 a.m., troopers from Troop G-Bridgeport were conducting motor vehicle enforcement when they observed a 2004 Acura TSX conduct a motor vehicle violation. Troopers stopped the Acura on Route 114 near New Haven Ave. in Orange. Upon speaking with the Acura occupants, troopers immediately detected the odor of marijuana coming from within the vehicle and determined that marijuana may still be contained in the vehicle.
