Bridgeport Police Release Video Of Double Homicide Suspect Vehicle

#Bridgeport CT--On October 31, 2018 at 11pm, shots were fired near 848 Maplewood Avenue from the passenger side of a green Mazda MPV minivan depicted in the attached video. Two victims, Myoshi Bagley and David Belle were mortally wounded in this shooting and died from their injuries. The Bridgeport Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in locating the perpetrators and the green Mazda MPV involved in this incident, and request that anyone with information contact Detective Jorge Cintron at 203-581-5227 or call the Bridgeport Police Tips Line at 203-576-TIPS (8477).

Southport News: Woman Stuck In Recliner

3:08pm--#Southport CT--#Fairfield CT-- A patient at Regal Care at 930 Mill Hill Terrace has called 911 because she is stuck in a recliner.  She states that she had called for staff a number of times but no one has come to her aid.  The 911 dispatcher said a patient advocate came to her aid while on the phone but was unable to assist her.  A short time later, police were dispatched for another call for a patient being aggressive to the staff.   Yesterday, Daniel Tepfer ot the Connecticut Post wrote an article about a 91-year-0ld man arrested at Regal Care for trying to kiss his wife goodbye.  That article can be read here: https://www.ctpost.com/local/article/Nursing-home-has-man-arrested-for-trying-to-kiss-13387819.php

Bridgeport Leaf Collection Guidelines

Bridgeport, CT – Mayor Joe Ganim and the Department of Public Facilities today are reminding residents of the Leaf Collection guidelines that requires residents to place leaves, brush and grass clippings in containers to be ready for pickup on recycling day which occurs bi-weekly.   Leaves should be placed in brown paper leaf bags (like those displayed in photo), garbage cans with no lids, or open top cardboard boxes. In order to be collected, Bridgeport residents MUST have their desired receptacle at the curbside on their day of recycling pickup, as the truck will pass by only once during that week. Fairfield News: Beach Clean Up

The Fairfield Garden Club Conservation Chairs, Jennifer Bargas and Penny Ross, recognize that one of the, if not the, greatest perks of living in Fairfield is being close to Long Island Sound and its beaches. In an effort to honor this natural gift, a beach clean-up was held on Tuesday, November 13th, from 12 to 1:30PM. Almost 18 pounds of trash was collected and cleaned. Using the “Clean Swell’’ app members were able to record every item of trash picked up. The data is uploaded instantaneously to Ocean Conservancy’s global trash database. Bridgeport News: Police Chief Sworn In

#Bridgeport CT-- Bridgeport Police AJ Perez was officially sworn in as the police chief of the state's largest city tonight at City Council Chambers, City Hall, 45 Lyon Terrace.  Perez was the cities acting chief since Mayor Ganim took office.  The city conducted a national search for the next chief with Perez among the top three.  Last week Mayor Ganim announced Perez as the next chief at a press conference, tonight was the official swearing-in ceremony.  The chief was awarded a five-year contract.   Chief Perez said it has been an honor and privilege to serve the city and the good citizens of the city.  He said there many wonderful things coming our way and he is ready to make it…
