Stratford News: Veteran’s Breakfast

#Stratford, CT -- Mayor Laura R. Hoydick  announced that the Town of Stratford will host this year’s Veterans’ Breakfast on Wednesday, May 22, 2019. The annual event, which has provided breakfast for more than 1,000 veterans since 2012, is scheduled to start at 9 a.m., and will be held at Vazzano’s Four Seasons in Stratford. There is no charge for veterans or their guest, who will receive a full traditional breakfast. The deadline to register is Wednesday, May 15, 2019. BRIDGEPORT, CONNECTICUT- The Bridgeport Police Department in collaboration with Department of Children and Families, Center for Family Justice, and Neighborhood Church Black Rock will host an informational session on how parents could ‘Unlock the Secrets of Your Child’s Online World’ in regards to phone app safety. The informational session will be held on May 2, 2019 between the hours of 6:00pm-8:00pm at Iglesia Cristiana Renacer Church on 579 Clinton Ave, Bridgeport, CT 06605.  Light refreshments to be served during the session and organizers are asking parents to not bring children. Westport News: Stranger Danger

#Westport CT--Yinri Tirado of Norwalk, CT, was arrested on 04/12/2019 after a 16 year old female walking along the Saugatuck River reported a man approached her and made a lewd comment. She was able to provide a description of the male, who was located a short distance away by officers and was taken into custody. He was brought to headquarters where he was charged with 53a-181 Breach of Peace 2 nd . Westport News: Fowl Play

#Westport CT--On 04/12/2019 at approximately 11:30 pm, the victim reported an illegal dumping complaint on Franklin Street. The victim’s property had been the site of several recent illegal dumping incidents in which a suspect has left boxes containing decapitated chickens. The victim reported a suspect just dropped a bag on his property and was running south on Franklin Street towards Saugatuck Railroad Station. The bag was found to contain two decapitated chickens and one white pigeon.   Corporal Smith located the male, identified as Ajamu Obataiye, at the train station. The victim’s home surveillance footage confirmed Obataiye was the suspect. Obataiye was taken into custody and brought to police headquarters where he was charged with 53a-181 Breach of Peace, 53-247…
