Police UPDATE: A two-car motor vehicle accident ended with the death of a Trumbull man. The resident, a fifty-four-year-old male victim was a resident of the Daniels Farm Rd. area of Trumbull. The Trumbull Police received several 911 calls, on Friday May 3, at approximately 7:00 PM, reporting a two-car motor vehicle accident in the area of Daniels Farm Rd. near Strobel Rd. A pick-up truck and a sedan collided, and the pick-up truck eventually came in contact with a nearby residence. The only occupant of the pick-up truck was entrapped inside of the vehicle, and bystanders approached to assist him prior to Trumbull Police arrival. 2019-05-03 --#Bridgeport CT--Amr Wasfi, 74, of Derby was charged with animal cruelty and third degree larceny after detectives raided the Black Rock Animal Hospital located at 2877 Fairfield Avenue in Bridgeport. The affidavit said the veterinarian performed unnecessary surgery on a dog back in February and a fired nurse told investigators that she told the doctor she was leaving for the day and the doctor became enraged and allegedly struck a four-month-old kitten he was spaying at the time. Police UPDATE: A woman ( Karielys Ayala) seeking employment had an altercation with the manager (Bhagmattie Persuad) that resulted in the applicant striking the manager in the head with a metal object and the manager threw hot water on the applicant. Ayala suffered second degree burns to her face and chest. She was transported to Bpt ER by ambulance. PO Gaie responded to KFC and spoke with the manager then followed up with Ayala at the ER. Ayala was being treated in the burn unit and was arrested for assaulting Bhagmattie. Officer Gaie returned to KFC to arrest Baghmattie however she was no longer on scene. They were about three quarters up the tree when they spotted the birds and gently brought them down. Fairfield Police said Lewis Tree Service was properly permitted to take down the tree so fowl play is not suspected. Animal Control was on the scene and the plan to move the nest to the tree next to the one being taken down. On Thursday May 2, 2019 the Fairfield Police Emergency Communications Center received a 911 call from Subway (709 Post Road) at approximately 7:25 pm reporting an armed robbery had just occurred. The suspect, described as a black male wearing a black beanie style hat, a dark colored jacket and blue jeans displayed a black firearm and took cash from the register. He was last seen running east on the Post Road. There were no injuries as a result and the Fairfield Police Department Detective Bureau is currently investigating. #Westport CT--Just before 0930 this morning, Westport Fire Department was requested to respond to Route 15 northbound for a reported motor vehicle accident with injuries. One Engine, the Rescue and the Shift Commander responded. Subsequent information from the scene reported multiple vehicles involved and people walking around the roadway, so a second Engine was added to the assignment for manpower. Westport EMS, Westport Police and CT State Police also responded to the scene. First arriving Fire Department units found the highway already shut down by traffic between the exit 42 off and on ramps. Bridgeport, CT – Mayor Ganim announced today that the City of Bridgeport will resume paving Thursday, May 2, 2019, on Albion Street. Due to inclement weather conditions, last year’s street paving was suspended early. The Department of Public Facilities will pick up where they had left off with paving Bridgeport’s West End and Westside. The paving is anticipated to last until early June weather permitting.
