Fairfield Fire Department UPDATE:  The driver of the vehicle, who was a minor, was not present at the time of arrival, but was located and returned to the scene. He was evaluated by American Medical Response and found to only suffer a minor injury that did not require hospital transport.

Rescue 1 personnel used skills learned through training and experience with the help of equipment to secure (shore up) the porch roof due to the considerable damage caused by the force of impact reliving the concerns of the homeowner about structural safety.

 

2020-03-07@11:02am–#Fairfield CT– A Audi slammed into the porch of a home on South Benson Road and the driver fled the scene.  There were skid marks on the road, and on the lawn leading up to the porch.  A street sign was also taken down by the car.
