Police UPDATE: The damage to the memorial was caused by a one car motor vehicle accident, no injuries were reported, and the operator left the scene.  The vehicle remained in the general area awaiting to be towed due to vehicular damage.  Trumbull Police Officers later determined the tow company, and tracked down the involved vehicle, and then located the driver.  The driver was cooperative, but was charged with leaving the scene of the accident.

#Trumbull CT– Many commuters this morning found the Vietnam Memorial on White Plains Road destroyed overnight. I reached out to Captain Golding of the Trumbull Police both by phone and e-mail this morning but have not heard back to see if it was destroyed by a car accident or other means.
