Bridgeport News: House Fire

UPDATE: Firefighters responded to a report of a structure fire located in the 400 blo9ck of Burnsford Ave at 5:20PM. The fire was found on the first floor and quickly extinguished. Two occupants were transported to the hospital. Working smoke alarms were activated and working on all floors. The occupants on the first floor were displaced, the other two floors were not affected. Stratford News: Birch Drive Shooting Arrest

Stratford CT-- On 10-08-2020 Troy Lopes age 40 of Stratford was arrested and charged for his involvementin a shooting that occurred at 90 Birch Drive on September 03, 2020. On 09-03-2020 at approximately 8:30pm Officers from the Stratford Police Department responded to 90Birch Drive to investigate a report of a shooting. Upon arrival one female gun shot victim was located.She was transported to the hospital for treatment and is in stable condition. An arrest warrant was secured for Lopes for his involvement in the shooting. Stratford Detectivesattempted to arrest Lopes but he engaged officers in a foot pursuit. In May of 2017, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Bridgeport Safe Streets Task Force (BSSTF) initiated an investigation into neighborhood-based gang member Kimani Graham and his associates including Akeen Trotter, a.k.a. "Ock", aka "AK", and others yet t to be identified. This case was investigated to its conclusion culminating in the issuance of search and seizure warrants for the person of Akeen Trotter, his residence located at 100 Aldine Avenue and for the residence associated with Kimanie Graham, locate at 155 Anson Street. Bridgeport News: Street Sweeping

Bridgeport, CT – City of Bridgeport officials remind residents that Street Sweeping has begun and requests drivers to follow alternate side of the street parking on main roads Monday through Saturday during the removal of debris and garbage by crew members in preparation for the winter season. Bridgeport News: Crash Involving City Bus

2020-10-10@2:39pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Two ambulances were dispatched to a crash involving a car and city bus at Main and State Street. Multiple witnesses told me the bus allegedly ran the red light hitting the blue Honda and spinning in backwards a full three hundred and sixty degrees backward. As the witnesses pointed out the multiple cameras in the area in addition to the ones on the bus should verify this.

STRATFORD- The Town of Stratford is offering a limited open house of the Stratford Point property andits lighthouse on Saturday, October 17th. A slideshow presentation will be followed by a historical guidedwalking tour, which will take place on the idyllic grounds.Stratford Point has a unique history dating back to 1781 and has been inaccessible to the general publicuntil recently.
