Bridgeport News: 3 Shootings Within An Hour

2021-09-25/6 #Bridgeport CT-- There were 3 separate shootings in three separate sections of town. Around 11:15pm A person was shot at Hickory and East Main Street. This was dispatched as an unknown type event. Around 11:50pm A man was shot outside of 770 Seaview Avenue (pictured and dispatched as a shooting). Around 12:20pm another person was shot in the 600 block of Seaview Avenue. This was also dispatched as unknown in nature. Unknown calls are usually dispatched when they are trying to get the call out quickly, usually a domestic battery, suicide or psychiatric call which I normally do not cover. $500,000 Federal Grant to the Barnum Museum

Last week, Congressman Jim Himes (CT-04) announced the Barnum Museum will receive a $500,000 grant from the National Parks Service (NPS) to repair the historic building’s 79 windows. Congressman Himes joined Bridgeport Mayor Joe Ganim, Barnum’s great-great-great-granddaughter Elinor Biggs, and Barnum Museum director Kathleen Maher. EMS reported the victim may have walked to the hospital and left without a patient. Media alert at 10:20 says there was an assault with a dangerous weapon at Grant Street which usually means a walk-in to Bridgeport Hospital. Shelton News: Crash Closes Leavenworth Road

#Shelton CT-- On 9-24-21 at approximately 4:30pm, Shelton Police, Fire, and EMS were sent to the area of 425 Leavenworth Rd for two separate one car motor vehicle accidents. Both operators were transported to the hospital. One operator sustained serious injuries. The Shelton Police Traffic Division Reconstruction Team is currently investigating the accidents. Westport News: Stalking Charges

#Westport CT--On August 25, 2021, at approximately 7:00 p.m., two females came to the WestportPolice Department to report a suspicious incident that occurred at Compo Beach earlier in theday. They said that about 1:45 p.m. they observed a male in a silver Jeep watching and takingpictures of them as they swam and sunbathed. The complainants said that the male’s behaviorwas making them uncomfortable, so they left the area and walked towards a nearby restaurant.As they were walking, the person driving the Jeep allegedly drove past the females at least eightmore times and was purportedly staring at the two as he did so.
