Westport Assessor Paul Friia today reminded residents that the Assessor’s Office and the
Human Services Department are continuing to take applications for the state and local tax relief
programs.
The programs are open to homeowners who are totally disabled or who have reached the age of
65 by the date of application.

12:42am–#Bridgeport CT–Police are investigating an armed robbery that took place on Main and Frank Street. The only description is two men in masks one displayed a gun. They were last seen walking towards Commercial Street.
8:10pm–#Bridgeport CT–Police and EMS on the way to a stabbing on Florence Street. The victim was stabbed by a known person to them. This just occurred and there are no details at this time.
6:04pm–#Trumbull CT–Police are investigating an armed robbery at the Hawley Mobil Station at 2775 Nichols Avenue. A five foot Hispanic male wearing a dark shirt and blue jeans brandished a semi-automatic pistol and fled on foot. He lost the sweatshirt he had fleeing which will greatly aid K-9 in tracking him. 4:52pm–#Bridgeport CT–Firefighters on the way to a back porch on fire at 235 Huntington Road.
4:19pm–#Stratford CT–Firefighters on the way to Long Beach for a possible water rescue for a downed wind surfer. UPDATE–Wind surfer is accounted for and ok.
4:17pm–#Bridgeport CT–Firefighters on scene at 2292 Main Street with a structure fire. Fire is at the roofline.
3:05pm– #Bridgeport CT–Report of a crash on Salem and Main Street. Expect delays in the area, first responders on the way.
1:23am–#Bridgeport CT–Report of a 3 car accident on State near Norman Street. First responders on the way.
