DoingItLocal is run by Steve Krauchick. Steve has always had interest with breaking news even as an early teen, opting to listen to the Watergate hearings instead of top 40 on the radio. His interest in news spread to become the communities breaking news leader in Connecticut’s Fairfield County. He strongly believes that the public has right to know what is happening in their backyard and that government needs to be transparent. Steve also likes promoting local businesses.

Drugs-Gun Netted In I-95 Traffic Stop

On February 4, 2018 at approximately 11:49 p.m., troopers from Troop G -Bridgeport were patrolling I-95 in Darien when they observed a vehicle, a 2012 Hyundai Sonata, commit a motor vehicle violation. Upon stopping the Hyundai in the Darien Rest Area and speaking with occupants, troopers determined that there were possibly illegal narcotics contained in the vehicle. Troopers initiated an investigation and through the course of the investigation troopers searched the Hyundai. With the aid of a narcotic detection K9, troopers located “crack” cocaine, raw heroin and drug paraphernalia. Troopers also discovered two handguns and later determined that both the operator and passenger are convicted felons. Stamford and Darien Police Departments also assisted with the investigation. #Bridgeport CT--On Thursday, February 8th the City of Bridgeport celebrated Black History Month at the Margaret Morton Government Center at 999 Broad Street with Our Legacy, Our Lives. The community came together to celebrate lives that had a positive impact in the community. Bridgeport News: Manhunt In The Westside

5:01pm--#Bridgeport Ct-- There is a manhunt in the Dewey/Lenox/Moutain Grove area.  Police had a short pursuit on Fairfield Avenue. Governor Wants More Money
