DoingItLocal is run by Steve Krauchick. Steve has always had interest with breaking news even as an early teen, opting to listen to the Watergate hearings instead of top 40 on the radio. His interest in news spread to become the communities breaking news leader in Connecticut’s Fairfield County. He strongly believes that the public has right to know what is happening in their backyard and that government needs to be transparent. Steve also likes promoting local businesses.

Arrest Made In Bridgeport School Threat

At 10:50 pm The Bridgeport Police Department made a juvenile arrest in the recent threat to our schools.  The Bridgeport Police Department would like to ensure our community that the safety of our students and staff is a priority and that there will be a strong police presence at our schools. Many concerned parents reached out to us about a possible threat posted online. I immediately reached out and to the city and received this report: The Bridgeport Police Department is aware of and actively investigating the recent threats to our schools. We are committed to ensuring that all our students and staff are safe in our schools and will provide all of the necessary resources to protect our schools. Shelton News: Woman in Cow Costume Sells Milk on Ojibwa Rd

A Resident of Ojibwa Trail/Road in Shelton had quite the moo-ving experience just now when police were called to investigate a a woman, dressed as a cow, was spotted selling milk door-to-door. The unusual vendor caught the eye of concerned neighbors, who dialed authorities after hearing the udderly strange sales pitch. While no laws were broken, authorities gave her a stern warning. No charges were filed, but it's safe to say this cow-tastrophe was a bum-steer according to unconfirmed radio reports. Stew Leonard was NOT available for comment.

Today's vehicle fire was hosted by Bridgeport at Wordin and Fairfield Avenue. A thick black column of smoke was visible for miles. Firefighters quickly knocked the fire down. Route 25 Crash With Ejection

UPDATE: A teen from Rhode Island lost his life in a rollover crash on Route 25 in Trumbull late Friday night. Connecticut State Police responded to the scene near Exit 9 on Route 25 South around 11 p.m. after receiving reports of an accident. According to police, a BMW X5 attempted to pass a BMW X1 from behind and shifted to the right, sideswiping the X1. The collision caused the X5 to spin out of control and crash into several trees. The victim, identified as 18-year-old Timothy Campbell from Cumberland, R.I., was a passenger in the back seat of the X5. He succumbed to his injuries, while three other occupants in the SUV, which had Rhode Island plates, were transported…

Ansonia Homicide-Suicide: New Details Emerge

https://youtu.be/a66phy5dDu4 This morning at approximately 5:00 A.M. the Ansonia Police Department received a 911 call reporting a serious assault in a residence on Westfield Avenue. The first officers on scene found a female and male inside the residence, both suffering from gunshot wounds. The female was shot multiple times in the torso, she was transported to a local hospital for treatment and unfortunately succumbed to her injuries. The male was shot once in the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.
