Lost Restaurants of Fairfield

#Fairfield, CT– Walk down memory lane at the Fairfield Public Library with author Patti Woods as she presents her book “Lost Restaurants of Fairfield”. She will be part of the What’s Cooking Series at the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road, on Monday, March 28 at 7 pm.

In this nostalgic book, Patti describes the bygone eateries and watering holes in Fairfield. Discover lost classics from the Sun Tavern, where George Washington visited, to the Scenario, where local celebrities had a seat reserved at the bar. Remember the doughnuts at Devore’s, Art Green’s famous cream pies at the Pie Plate, ice cold beer at the Driftwood…?

Ms Woods is a native of Fairfield. She began her career with the Fairfield and Westport Minuteman newspapers and was a managing editor of Better Nutrition. As a freelancer her work has appeared in Health, Wine Spectator and Delicious Living.
