DoingItLocal is run by Steve Krauchick. Steve has always had interest with breaking news even as an early teen, opting to listen to the Watergate hearings instead of top 40 on the radio. His interest in news spread to become the communities breaking news leader in Connecticut’s Fairfield County. He strongly believes that the public has right to know what is happening in their backyard and that government needs to be transparent. Steve also likes promoting local businesses.

A Holiday Kids Will Never Forget!

Connecticut Law Enforcement and The REACH Foundation join forces to strengthen their community outreach while helping families with financial hardship. Over 250 participants at three Connecticut Target locations will shop for their loved ones and community this holiday season. Police are paired with Connecticut children to assist with the child’s shopping list. Over 30 Connecticut State Troopers are set to participate in Shop with a Cop. Shop with a Cop is a program that provides a unique holiday experience for underprivileged children during the holiday season. Each child is paired with a participating law enforcement officer where the child shops for their families, and the Law Enforcement Officers shop for a child from the community where they serve.  The program begins with a ‘meet and greet’…
