DoingItLocal is run by Steve Krauchick. Steve has always had interest with breaking news even as an early teen, opting to listen to the Watergate hearings instead of top 40 on the radio. His interest in news spread to become the communities breaking news leader in Connecticut’s Fairfield County. He strongly believes that the public has right to know what is happening in their backyard and that government needs to be transparent. Steve also likes promoting local businesses.

Fairfield News: Woman Injured When Dog Attacks Horse

Bridgeport News: Bicyclist Hit

1:11am--#Bridgeport CT--A report of a pedestrian struck may be a bicyclist who fled the scene.  Police, firefighters and EMS were called to the intersection of Fairfield Avenue and State Street, it turned out to be Railroad Avenue and Fairfield Avenue.  It appears that a bicyclist was struck, the striking vehicle remained on scene and the bicycle itself remained on scene but the person riding the bike did not.  Police were seen trying to sort this out with witnesses.   EMS departed with no patient.

Shelton News: Carbon Monoxide At Hotel

12:22am--#Shelton CT--Firefighters responded to the Marriott Residence Inn at 1024 Bridgeport Avenue for carbon monoxide alarm.  Firefighters found levels of carbon monoxide and had additional units called  to the scene.   The room was one that was not attached to the main building so the rest of the units were not evacuated.  The resident of the room refused medical treatment.   See ALL of our posts, not just what Facebook shows you! Fairfield News: 2 Pedestrians Seriously Injured

UPDATE--Our sources say the woman   is in the ICU with punctured lung and head injury. The man may need surgery on his neck vertebrae and has head laceration in addition to knee and ankle injuries. #Fairfield CT--Fairfield Police are investigating an accident on Commerce Drive where an elderly couple was struck by a car in front of Frank Pepe's Pizzeria. Radio reports said both victims suffered trauma with significant bleeding and transported to St. Vincent's Hospital. The driver of the car was transported to Bridgeport Hospital. There have been no further updates, the Fairfield Police Shift Commander was working on a press release when I called police headquarters.  When I get updates I'll post it on Doingitlocal.com
