His interest in news spread to become the communities breaking news leader in Connecticut’s Fairfield County. He strongly believes that the public has right to know what is happening in their backyard and that government needs to be transparent. Steve also likes promoting local businesses.

Police Seek Public’s Assistance in IDng Suspects Involved in Gunfire

#Bridgeport, Conn. (Dec. 4, 2014 – Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying suspects involved in gunshots being fired on Nov. 27, 2014, on Boston Avenue. According to Capt. Armando Perez, police are following strong leads in the case and are asking for the community’s assistance in identifying several suspects captured on security video during the incident. At this time, detectives believe at least two gunmen exchanged fire. No one was injured. The gunfire prompted officials to suspend the football game between Harding High School and Central High School, which was being played nearby. GOV. MALLOY: STATE WINS GRANT TO MAKE SCHOOLS SAFER, HEALTHIER PLACES TO LEARN Additional Funds Awarded for School Emergency Operations Plans (HARTFORD, CT)— Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that Connecticut has received two federal grants totaling more than $3.5 million to create safer, more nurturing environments in schools. Connecticut was one of 12 states out of more than 30 that applied to receive a School Climate Transformation grant, awarded by the U.S. Department of Education.
