Police Officer Bobby Jones responded Wednesday to a recreation facility at 400 University Ave. on a report that the suspect, Alan Marcel, 28, of Norwalk, had sent text messages with sexual content to one of his swimmers. The texts were discovered on the girl’s phone by the victim’s mother, who alerted a member of the board of directors from the swim club. Marcel is an instructor with the club.
