2022-05-19@10:00PMish– Police are looking for a white sedan in connection to a shooting at Stratford Avenue near Union Avenue. Police radio reports to surrounding towns said that there were two shooters in the car with possible extended magazines. One person was transported to the hospital with a gunshot wound, the extent of his injuries are not known at this time.
2022-05-18@10:04pm–#Bridgeport CT–A woman was assaulted and robbed in the 200 block of Gregory Street marking the city’s first robbery. Scott Appleby, Director of Emergency Communications (the city still has NO police public affairs’ officer) said when I asked for calls of significance said they would appear the police’s Twitter Account. There have been no robberies posted there so this must be the first one of the year. This is probably why Ganimville has been named the second best place to raise a family. 2022-05-17@8:04pm–#Bridgeport CT– Police are investigating a crash between a motorcycle and a bicyclist in the 1500 block of Park Avenue. The bicyclist was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries, he was alert and conscious.
2022-05-17@2:55pm–#Bridgeport CT– #cttraffic– Many of you reported that exit 5 on Route 8/25 was closed this morning. Police reported that a person that was shot in the foot at St. Vincent’s who said it happened on Route 8.

Police UPDATE: At 1607hrs the Bridgeport ECC received a 911 call reporting a 9 month old child had gone under the water in a bath tub and was unresponsive in the 100th block of Parrott Ave. A party on-scene was administering CPR at the time of the call. BFD, AMR and BPD arrived on-scene. According to on-scene reports the child had a pulse, was breathing, and then began crying. The child was transported to the hospital via AMR. No further information on status of their condition.

The Bridgeport Police force should be 425 but with 2 more retiring brings the force down to 307 officers. Only 12 are expected to graduate from the academy to replace them.
2022-05-11@12:34pm–#Bridgeport CT– #ctfire– Firefighters arrived for an alarm at Blackham School on Thorme Street and reported smoke coming from the 2nd floor. Additional personnel were called to the scene. They discovered a trash can on fire and removed it from the school. There was no danger to any of the students.
