Trumbull News: Target Manager Pursues Shoplifter To Bridgeport Train Station

2020-03-11@8:38pm–#Trumbull CT–#Bridgeport CT– According to radio reports a Target manager (they didn’t mention which one in Trumbull) pursued a shoplifter to the Bridgeport train station on Water Street.  Bridgeport Police did hold the shoplifter presumingly with the manager until Trumbull arrived on scene to arrest the person.

Bridgeport News: Person Shot

2020-03-11@11:36pm–#Bridgeport CT– Neighbors called police to report they heard people yelling on Staples Street (Wood Avenue side), then shots rang out and a person was lying in the road.  Police were quick to the scene but found no one in the street.  About 15 minutes later police word from an area hospital (I didn’t hear which one) that gunshot victim arrived at the hospital in a private vehicle.  Officers located evidence on Staples Street and are preserving the crime scene until detectives arrive to further investigate.

 

Bridgeport News: SHU Cancels Classes But Kids Gather For Large House Party

2020-03-10@5:14pm–#Bridgeport CT–#SHU–Sacred Heart University canceled classes for online classes as a precaution of large gatherings during the Corona scare.  So they gather for a large house party at 331 Anton Street with loud music and kids urinating on a fence.

Bridgeport News: Manhunt Cause Central HS Lock In/Out

2020-03-10 @ 1:18pm–#Bridgeport CT– There was a manhunt for a teen with a firearm in the Capital/Federal Street area.  A basement door in the 800 block of Capital Avenue was found kicked in.  A short time later, the lock in/out at Central High School was lifted.
