Bridgeport News: Another Pedestrian Hit By Driver Who Flees
Police UPDATE: On November 23, 2018 at approximately 5:49 pm, Bridgeport Patrol Officers responded to the scene of an accident on Washington Avenue, just west of its intersection with James Street. A pedestrian was struck and seriously injured by a hit-and-run driver while crossing Washington Avenue. The operator fled the scene in a black four door vehicle traveling westbound on Washington Avenue. The pedestrian, identified as Raymond F. Benson D.O.B. 10/24/1975, was transported to Saint Vincent’s Hospital where he’s listed in serious but stable condition. The Bridgeport Police Accident Reconstruction Team has responded to assist the Patrol Division and conduct further investigation.
