Bridgeport News: Crash Sends 1 Car Into Building
8:43pm--#Bridgeport CT-- One person was injured in a two-car crash on Main Street at the intersection of Fairfield Avenue. First responders confirmed that the driver of the car went into the building fled on foot after the crash but police apprehended him a short time later. The building at 100 Main Street, The Funchal Americana Buffet received significant damage as well.

#Bridgeport News: Police say they have a person of interest and expect an arrest soon in the shooting death of a 12 year old boy. Earlier today Mayor Joseph Ganim and Bridgeport Police Chief AJ Perez visited the grieving family of Clinton Howell who was gun downed in a drive-by shooting Tuesday night around 9pm. Perez said the boy was not the intended target. Captain Brian Fitzgerald said the boy was shot in the chest in what he described as a “unsurvivable, grave wound to the chest. City of Bridgeport Issues Directive on Handling of Scrap Metal
Bridgeport, CT – Mayor Joe Ganim today has announced that City of Bridgeport Director of Public Facilities, John Ricci has issued a directive on “Scrap Metal and all other Material and Property from City Projects and Cleanups.” This directive is an additional measure taken by the city government to prevent the mishandling or misappropriation of city property. “It has come to light that we may have inherited past practices that are unacceptable with this administration and are not in compliance with this directive,” said Mayor Ganim. “This directive will clarify and eliminate any actions that may be contrary to proper procedure. 8:44pm--#Bridgeport CT-- A SUV hit a parked car and then hit the Bridge Academy at 160 Pulaski Street missing the gas meter by inches. The driver of the SUV refused medical treatment according to radio reports.
