Fairfield News: Scam Intercepted

On 09/05/2018 at 4:37pm, a resident on Sterling Street reported that earlier that morning she received a suspicious package in the mail containing over $4,000 in cash. Officers responded to investigate and determined that earlier in the day, the package was handed off to a male who was wearing a FedEx shirt who said the package was improperly delivered. The resident gave the package to the male but thought it was suspicious and called the police to report it.   On 09/06/2018 at 7:35am the same resident called 911 to report that there was a package delivered to her door again and she can see a male walking away from his vehicle approaching her house. #Fairfield CT--The centuries of history in and around the Black Rock neighborhood that today is part of Bridgeport will be the focus of a combined bicycle and boating history tour Saturday, September 8 starting 1:30 PM. Fairfield News: One In Custody After Pursuit

Fairfield Police UPDATE: Hasan T. Fleming (1/19/94) of Hough Avenue, Bridgeport was arrested and charged with Interfering with a Police Officer, Reckless Driving, Failure to Obey Officer Signal, Evading Responsibility, Failure to Drive Right, and Excessive Window Tint, after he failed to stop for an officer conducting a routine traffic stop in the area of Commerce Drive and Coolidge St. Fleming engaged officers in pursuit onto I-95 southbound and struck a citizen’s vehicle during the pursuit. Officers were able to take Fleming into custody at the I-95 southbound exit ramp for Mill Plain Rd. There were no injuries as a result of the pursuit. Fleming was later released on a $5000.
