The Fairfield Police Department is seeking the vehicle pictured below, possibly a 2000-2004 Nissan Maxima, in connection with a strong arm robbery/purse snatching that took place in the parking lot of Stop and Shop, 760 Villa Ave on 04/01/18 at approximately 3:15pm. The suspect, a white male, mid 20’s, beard, reddish brown hair, approached 2 women in the lot and yanked the purse off one of them after a brief struggle. #cttraffic--State police are looking for a person operating dark-colored Ford Crown Victorian with red and blue lights. The operator is impersonating a police officer on I-95 near exit 18 earlier Sunday. The vehicle has South Carolina license plates that don't match the car. Fairfield Police UPDATE: On 03/25/2018 at approximately 9:15pm an armed robbery occurred at Star Gas Station 350 Jennings Rd. Fairfield, CT. The store clerk reported that a male entered the store armed with a knife, and demanded cash. The clerk opened the cash register and backed away while the suspect reached over the counter and took the cash drawer out of the register. The suspect then removed an undisclosed amount of cash and left the store on foot eastbound on Jennings Road. The store video surveillance showed a tall thin male, with light to fair skin, wearing a purple bandana wrapped around his face, a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, work style boots, and carrying a knife. Connecticut State Senator Tony Hwang had his head shaved Friday night at Osborne Hill School in Fairfield to benefit cancer research, as part of St. Baldrick's "Team Teddy." The Team Teddy page says "Team Teddy was founded in honor of Teddy Gerber, who was diagnosed with undifferentiated sarcoma in 2009, when he was just 8 years old. After bravely fighting his illness for nine months, Teddy died on August 16, 2010, aged 9 1/2. Team Teddy carries on in Teddy's memory, raising money to find a cure for pediatric cancer". #Fairfield CT--On 03/15/2018 at 5:34pm the Fairfield Police Department responded to a report of a woman who stated she was scammed out of $200.00 at the Super Stop & Shop, 1160 Kings Hwy Cutoff in Fairfield. The complainant reported that while backing out of a parking space in the lot, she looked in her rearview mirror and made sure it was clear to proceed. As she continued backing up, she suddenly heard a loud thump at the rear of her vehicle. After getting out to investigate, she observed an unidentified male holding his hand as if he was in pain.
