8:02pm–#Trumbull CT– Five girls were apprehended at the lower level Target parking entrance at the Westfield Trumbul Mall on Main Street. Apparently there was a large group fighting and five have been detained.

1:01am–#Trumbull CT–Police were called to West Wind Road where a resident called saying he came home and found an unknown man in his kitchen who fled. He then heard noises in his garage. Police arrived, set u p a perimeter around the house. A thorough search of the property and home turned up nothing. Police also had cars in the neighborhood but found nothing.
2:00am–#Trumbull CT–Firefighter and police on scene with a broken water pipe at Middlebrook Elementary School at 220 Middlebrooks Avenue. Maintenance workers and/or custodial help requested to the scene. Should make for an interesting opening this morning.
12:22pm–#Bridgeport CT #Trumbull CT–A tan Lincoln wanted in a hit and run on Chopsey and Reservior Avenue was followed by the victim and Bridgeport Police where he was arrested by Trumbull Police in their town.

6:09pm–#cttraffic–#Trumbull CT– There is traffic light problems on Main Street near the Merritt Parkway. Police have their hands full trying to figure the best mode to go. Currently they are directing traffic. They are attempting to get the the state traffic light reset from a remote location. Expect changes. Ramps are currently closed.

#Trumbull CT–Apparently Trumbull has declared war on the weather sending out this scout tank to check the roads. First Selectman Timothy Herbst’s Facebook page says: “Out in our MRAP tank checking roads and neighborhoods. Everyone please stay off the roads so DPW can clear.” Many have asked the first selectman for wine delivery to their homes but so far no response.

1:33am–#Trumbull CT–Homeowner at 30 Jog Hill Road (off Daniel’s Farm Road) woke an odor of burning and found a smoke condition in their attached garage. Firefighters on scene trying to find the source.

3:25pm–#Trumbull CT–Mall Security at the Westfields Mall on Main Street called police because they thought they heard someone inside the ventilation system. Police arrived and called the fire department and K-9 from Fairfield. Firefighters cut open and found the vents empty. I caught up with Officer Kevin Wells walking Ruger (the K-9) after the incident and he confirmed they were empty, he said he’s guess maybe an animal might have been inside the vents. Or, could it have been a ghost from Christmas Past???……….
8:40pm–#Trumbull CT –Seniors are on lockdown in their rooms after an electrical issue caused a smoke condition inside Spring Meadows Assisted Living at 6949 Main Street. Firefighters are assisting the facility and staff with ventilation and tracking down the cause of the condition.
