ARREST of Luiz Roman – HOMICIDE – Abandoned Remington Site

#Bridgeport CT--On November 21, 2019 Bridgeport Patrol Officers investigated the suspicious missing person complaint of Miguel Afzal DOB 08/26/1997.  The investigation by the Bridgeport Police Homicide Squad revealed that Afzal was last seen with an acquaintance, Luiz Roman DOB 06/09/95, on the same day of his disappearance. On December 8, 2019 investigators coordinated a search of the abandoned Remington site located along Barnum Avenue in Bridgeport, Connecticut.  Afzal's body was located within one of the abandoned buildings. On December 9, 2019 the Connecticut Office of the Chief Medical Examiner declared Afzal's death a homicide; caused by a gunshot wound to the head.  The criminal investigation was led by Bridgeport Police Detective Martin Heanue and the Homicide Squad.  Assistance was also…

Bridgeport News: Cop Bitten By Suspect

Police said initial reports indicate that around 2111hrs near the 200th block of Carlson st, a call for a domestic family incident lead to a family member and an officer being bitten by a suspect. The Police officer was transported to the hospital for a non life threatening injury. The suspect was arrested without further incidence. Unknown where the officer or victim was bitten. 2021-04-15@10:01pm--#Bridgeport CT-- A Bridgeport Police Officer was injured with unknown injuries while at an assault call at Carlson Avenue. The extent of the injuries is not known at this time.

Bridgeport News: 2 Extricated In 2 Car Crash

7:33pm--#Bridgeport CT-- 2 people were extricated from two cars in a two car crash at the intersection of Moutain Grove and Fairfield Avenue.  Four cars were involved but two of them were parked and there was no one in them.  The first driver was quickly extricated. AMR’s award-winning Earn While You Learn program is designed to ease the transition for those wanting to become EMS professionals. The innovative program provides participants with on-the-job training and certification courses to become emergency medical technicians (EMTs).
