Phase 3 Openings

Connecticut’s Phase 3 of reopening during the coronavirus pandemic will begin October 8. Phase 3 changes will increase the capacities at certain businesses including restaurants, personal services, libraries and performing arts venues. While Phase 3 is expected to increase capacity, safety protocols will still remain in effect. Fairfield News: Triggered At The Fairfield Democratic HQ

2020-09-25@4:14pm--#Fairfield CT-- Police say a man showed up in front of the Democratic HQ on Sasco Hill Road yelling insults at volunteers inside. It is unknown what his political affiliation is. Someone from inside confronted him and began recording the interaction with a cell phone. The male continued yelling and eventually knocked the phone out of the volunteer's hand. The man left the scene in a vehicle prior to officers arriving. The vehicle came back registered to an owner in Westport CT. With the assistance of Westport Police, Fairfield and Westport Officers located the male at his home in Westport. He was identified as Michael Silverstein of Bayberry Lane. Trumbull News: Vietnam Memorial Destroyed

Police UPDATE: The damage to the memorial was caused by a one car motor vehicle accident, no injuries were reported, and the operator left the scene.  The vehicle remained in the general area awaiting to be towed due to vehicular damage.  Trumbull Police Officers later determined the tow company, and tracked down the involved vehicle, and then located the driver.  The driver was cooperative, but was charged with leaving the scene of the accident.  #Trumbull CT-- Many commuters this morning found the Vietnam Memorial on White Plains Road destroyed overnight.
