Shelton News: Alleged Bank Robber Arrested
On 10/15/2018 at approximately 10:00 AM Shelton Police were dispatched to 704 Bridgeport Ave., Key Bank, on a report of a bank robbery. On 10-17-18, Shelton Police and Detectives, with the assistance of the Seymour Police Department, arrested 37 year old Michael Mangiafico of Seymour and charged him with Robbery 1 st Degree and Larceny 3 rd Degree. Mangiafico was held on a $100,000 bond and will be arraigned today (10-17-18) at Derby Court. The expedited arrest was partially due to the tips received after releasing pictures of the suspect to the public.
Norwalk News: Structure Fire
Norwalk Fire Department UPDATE: Norwalk firefighters responded to a house fire on 19 Arbor Dr, at 7:27 pm. Upon arrival firefighters were met with heavy fire on the first floor of the home. And in the attic. Only one occupant was home at the time and managed to get out with no injuries. The home suffered heavy fire and smoke damage and is posted unfit for occupancy displacing four people. 5:22pm--#Bridgeport CT-- The Black Rock Tire Store at 2075 Fairfield Avenue was robbed at gunpoint by 3 males. One of the employees was pistol-whipped. The suspects fled in a car down Andover Street.

10:19pm--#Bridgeport CT-- A pedestrian was hit by a car in front of the bodega at Clinton and Fairfield Avenue. He was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries. The driver stopped and is cooperating with police.
Bridgeport News: Two Apprehended In Manhunt
9:29pm--#Bridgeport CT-- A routine traffic stop was anything but routine on Marriam Street (off Lindley Street). The driver and passenger fled on foot and the passengers in the backseat remained on scene. One was quickly apprehended. K-9 officer on the way to the scene located the second suspect matching the description in front of Scruples on North Avenue. He was arrested without incident. K-9 Uno was instrumental in locating the drugs that were tossed during the chase of the suspects and in the vehicle.
