2023-10-16@3:40pm–#Shelton CT– One person was injured in an explosion at Oak Ridge Waste and Recycling at 90 Oliver Terrace according to radio reports. The fire is reported out but still smoldering.

2023-10-14@7:17pm–#Derby CT– Firefighters are investigating a report of smoke in a building on Oak Street.

2023-10-04@12:09pm–#Derby CT– Firefighters are on scene in the 100 block of Caroline Street for a structure fire. Sounds like an attic fire according to radio reports. A second alarm was sounded.

2023-09-17@8:27pm–#Ansonia CT– First responders were called to Rockwood Avenue for a shooting. Police requested 3 ambulances to the scene but it sounds like one victim was shot in the hand, no word on any of the other victims.

2023-09-17@8:08pm #Derby CT– #cttraffic– Firefighters on scene of a crash in the 40 block of New Haven Avenue aka Route 34. A driver is pinned in the crash and firefighters are working to extricate the driver and anyone else in the car.

2023-09-13@7:55pm–#Derby CT– EMS on the way to the 300 block of Derby Avenue for someone who had their throat slashed. There are no further details at this time.

Ansonia Police UPDATE:
On September 6, 2023 at about 12:00 P.M. an Ansonia Patrol Officer was investigating a suspicious person in the area of Lester Street and High Street. The suspicious party entered the yard of a home on Lester Street and went around the back of the house. When the officer went to the rear of the home looking for the male he was confronted by a german shepard that resided at the home. The officer attempted to back out of the yard but stumbled as the dog came towards him, several shots were fired at the dog and thankfully the dog was not hit by any of the shots. The officer suffered minor injuries in his attempt to elude the dog. The suspicious male was found in the backyard and advised officers on scene he was just cutting through the yard to get to another location.

2023-09-06@12:11pm–#Ansonia CT– A police officer shot a dog at High and Lester Street after the dog attacked the officer. The condition of the officer and dog is not known at this time.

Shelton News: Possible Drowning

Shelton Police UPDATE:

On 09/03/2023 at approximately 4:15 PM, Shelton Police and EMS responded to a residence on Huntington Street in Shelton for a medical call. A family member arrived home and discovered a 68-year-old woman unresponsive in the pool. The woman was transported to St Vincent’s Hospital in Bridgeport where she later was pronounced deceased. The drowning victim was a family member visiting from out of the country.

2023-09-03@4:21pm–#Shelton CT– Report of a possible swimming pool drowning of an elderly woman in the 500 block of Huntington Street. Radio reports are saying she is out of the water but not breathing.

2023-08-28@12:20pm–#Seymour CT–First responders on the scene of a pickup truck hitting Allen’s Plumbing on Bank and Martha Street. Initial reports the damage was minor but they still called for the building inspector.
