Stratford News: Distraction Burglary

On 09/12/2019, Detectives from the Stratford Narcotics Vice and Intel Unit were conducting targeted patrol in the area of Success Ave. This area has seen an increase in crime to include: street robberies as well as narcotics sales and a recent homicide. At approx. 1300 hrs, Detectives observed a vehicle which had dark tinted windows and a canceled registration. The car was stopped and the driver was identified as 29-year-old Mark Peeples of Bridgeport.   Detectives immediately detected an odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. During the stop Detectives located a stolen 9mm Firearm loaded with (6) rounds of ammunition under the driver's seat. #Bridgeport CT-- Bridgeport Police spokesperson Terron Jones said today "there was an incident where a suspicious package/item was reported down at the Federal Courthouse at 1100hrs, where they asked for support from BPD and BFD.  Police are investigating.  There is no threat to the area at this time. Bridgeport News: Man Shot In Da Butt

Police UPDATE: Police say it was a  male juvenile and the shooting likely stems from a dispute inside Harding High School earlier this week.   5:08pm--UPDATE: An alert police officer on patrol located the suspect vehicle on French Street near Capital Avenue and arrest two.    2019-09-12 @2:43pm--#Bridgeport CT-- A man was shot in the buttocks near the alleyway on Tudor Street, police collect the shell casing in the photo.  The man hobbled to Remington Street for help.  He was transported to the hospital, there is reports on his condition.  The shooting was a driveby by some young teens according to a witness.

Fairfield News: Man On Tracks Killed By Train

MTA Police Update: Jason Daniel Bernstein, 25, of Norwalk was the victim according to MTA Police.   2019-09-11 @ 7:10pm--#Fairfield CT-- #MTA-- There isn't a lot of information at this time but a man that was on the tracks at the Fairfield Metro Station was hit by a train and killed.  John, a commuter from Shelton told me he knew something bad happened when the emergency brakes came on and a short time later was told to along with the other passengers to evacuate the train.  We were told it was the 5:46 p.m. train out of Grand Central Terminal.  The public address system was reporting delays up to 35 minutes as there were significant speed restrictions around the area…
