Bridgeport News: Fowl Play At KFC

Police UPDATE: A woman ( Karielys Ayala)  seeking employment had an altercation with the manager (Bhagmattie Persuad) that resulted in the applicant striking the manager in the head with a metal object and the manager  threw hot water on the applicant.    Ayala suffered second degree burns to her face and chest.  She was transported to Bpt ER by ambulance.  PO Gaie responded to KFC and spoke with the manager then followed up with Ayala at the ER.  Ayala was being treated in the burn unit and was arrested for assaulting Bhagmattie.  Officer Gaie returned to KFC to arrest Baghmattie however she was no longer on scene.  He then went to her residence at 465 Ruth but was unable to make…

Fairfield News: Bird Rescue

Fairfield News: Subway Armed Robbery

On Thursday May 2, 2019 the Fairfield Police Emergency Communications Center received a 911 call from Subway (709 Post Road) at approximately 7:25 pm reporting an armed robbery had just occurred. The suspect, described as a black male wearing a black beanie style hat, a dark colored jacket and blue jeans displayed a black firearm and took cash from the register. He was last seen running east on the Post Road. There were no injuries as a result and the Fairfield Police Department Detective Bureau is currently investigating. #Westport CT--Just before 0930 this morning, Westport Fire Department was requested to respond to Route 15 northbound for a reported motor vehicle accident with injuries. One Engine, the Rescue and the Shift Commander responded. Subsequent information from the scene reported multiple vehicles involved and people walking around the roadway, so a second Engine was added to the assignment for manpower. Westport EMS, Westport Police and CT State Police also responded to the scene.   First arriving Fire Department units found the highway already shut down by traffic between the exit 42 off and on ramps. Bridgeport, CT – Mayor Ganim announced today that the City of Bridgeport will resume paving Thursday, May 2, 2019, on Albion Street.  Due to inclement weather conditions, last year’s street paving was suspended early.  The Department of Public Facilities will pick up where they had left off with paving Bridgeport’s West End and Westside. The paving is anticipated to last until early June weather permitting.
