HARTFORD, CT – State Senator Dennis Bradley (D-Bridgeport) joined New Haven Mayor Toni Harp, Shelton Police Chief Shawn Sequiera and state Representative Chris Rosario (D-Bridgeport) to announce the sixth annual Connecticut Big 3 Ball Out. Formerly known as the “Hoop it Up,” tournament, the multi-city basketball tourney will take place August 3 and 4 on Church Street in New Haven. “This tournament is a great way to bring our cities together around friendly competition,” said Sen. 2019-07-26 @ 12:12am--#Bridgeport CT-- There were numerous reports of shots fired outside the club on Park Avenue near Benahm Avenue.  Police located shell casings at the corner of Benham Avenue.  No one or anything was reported hit by the gunfire.  About ten minutes later police received calls for shots fire on Olive Street but there was nothing reported hit there either.

Troopers Arrest Bridgeport Man on Weapon Charges

On Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at approximately 2:30 a.m., Troopers out of Troop G-Bridgeport came upon a disabled motor vehicle in the median of Interstate 95 Southbound, Exit 18, in the Town of Westport. Troopers quickly discovered that the Connecticut registration plate displayed on the rear of the vehicle came back to an entirely different make and model. The vehicle was occupied by two males who stated that they had ran out of gas. The operator of the vehicle, who was later identified as Leonard McNair (D.O.B: 01-22-1997), provided Troopers with an identification card which belonged to another person. During the course of the investigation, it was discovered that McNair was in possession of a 9mm Handgun. McNair was subsequently arrested…

#Milford CT--A Chevy Suburban bearing Tenessee plates passed a state trooper in the right at a high rate of speed on Rte 15 Northbound in the area of Exit 53. During the course of the traffic stop investigation it was determined that there was marijuana present in the vehicle. A subsequent vehicle search revealed that there was more than 1/2 ounce of marijuana in the vehicle in various places.
