#Stratford CT-- On 02-13-2019 Jacques Smith, age 20 of Stratford was arrested in connection with a shooting that occurred at the George Force Basketball Courts located on Woodend Road in Stratford. The shooting took place on 08-07-2018. Smith was arrested by warrant and subsequently held on a $100,000 dollar bond and is scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Court on 02-21-2019.  Smith was charged with: Assault 1 st Degree       Reckless Endangerment        Weapon In A Motor Vehicle         Criminal Possession Of A Firearm             Criminal Possession Of Ammunition Carrying A Pistol Without A Permit There were several witnesses to the shooting and Investigators are asking anyone with further information to contact…

1:04PM--#Bridgeport, CT- At 1:24pm fire units responded to a structure fire at 135-141 Madison Avenue.  The initial 3-story housing structure on fire subsequently became a 3-alarm fire that affected the adjacent structure which also had to be evacuated.  Units reported heavy fire on the second and third floors.  Bridgeport Fire Department safely cleared and evacuated all tenants to the outside of the homes.  A GBT bus served as a temporary warming shelter for displaced residents. Bridgeport Fire Department quickly worked on controlling and putting out the fire.   Both buildings sustained severe fire and water damage.   Approximately 31 people were evacuated, and all are now temporarily displaced at this time. #STRATFORD CT – The Town of Stratford is now taking applications for Senior and Disabled Property Tax relief.  Applications can be made Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30am to 11:30am now through May 15, 2019 at the Assessor’s Office in Town Hall, 2725 Main Street, Stratford.* Those applying for tax relief must be 65 years of age by December 31, 2018 or approved as 100% disabled by Social Security. Bridgeport News: Deadly Heroin Warning

Bridgeport CT – Chief Perez and the Bridgeport Police Department are issuing a warning to the community. There is a batch of deadly heroin circulating within the city. Zwart 4 (003).   A specific brand of heroin appears to have been linked to at least two deaths in the Hollow section of city in the past several days. White envelopes marked with a red skull and the words “Head Games” have been found next to multiple victims (Photograph below.)   On February 6th, a 57-year-old woman was found dead on Coleman Street next to these envelopes. Bridgeport News: Police Locate Suicidal Teen In Time

10:35pm--#Bridgeport CT-- How about some likes for the Bridgeport Police who located a suicidal teen in time?  Police began receiving frantic calls from family members that a male teen with a noose was streaming on Facebook Live that he was going to hang himself in an abandoned factory building, it was thought to be the Remington Shot Tower or one of the empty Remington buildings.  Many frantic family members arrived at the scene.  Firefighters were called to force entry to the complex and first responders found nothing.  It was then thought the teen was headed to Fairfield.  Bridgeport Police continued searching for the teen and located him safe and sound a short time later near Arctic Street.  The teen was transported…
