#Fairfield CT--Just after 11am, a resident in the Mill Plain Road area observed a car pull over, take the plates off the car and flee on foot. When police arrived they found no plates on the car so the ran the vehicle identification number and the numbers did not come back to any particular vehicle. The looked in the glove box for any type of paperwork when the noticed a Tupperware type container with wires or a knob coming out of it. Wires were also seen coming out from under the dashboard. 12:34am--#Stratford CT-- A fire had a significant head start before firefighters arrived at a fire in a three-family home at 361,3 and 5 Canaan Road tonight. Witnesses who attempted to fight the fire with hand-held fire extinguishers said they believe the fire allegedly started from a charcoal grill that was too close to the vinyl siding and spread up the back side of the building. Everyone was able to make it out safely including a family's cat. Firefighters made significant progress in battling the fire but like the fire on Kelsey Street in Bridgeport significant black smoke could be seen spewing from the attic. 9:20pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Police are investigating a shooting at Remington and Tudor Street. Witnesses said there as many as twenty shots fired. One person was hit and driven to Bridgeport Hospital by private vehicle. There was a significant amount of blood at the scene and a witness at the hospital said there was significant blood at the hospital as well. The condition of the victim is not known at this time. A number of cars were also struck by gunfire.
11:11pm--#Bridgeport CT-- A stabbing victim just showed up at St. Vincent's Hospital. No word on his condition nor where in town it may have happened. This news report is made possible by:
7:37pm--#Stratford CT-- Police are investigating shots fired incident on Bruce Avenue near Graham Street. Police spokesperson Captain Frank Eaonnotti said no one was injured but a car was damaged. It was one year to the day that Andre Pettway was shot and killed in a driveway on Garibaldi Avenue.
7:11pm--#Bridgeport CT-- A boy about 12 years of age was hit by a car on Maplewood Avenue between Park Avenue and Pequonnick Street. First responders said the injuries did not appear to be serious.
6:00pm--#cttraffic-- State police received a call that a woman in a black Toyota Camry with New York plates took a frozen water bottle and threw it at a tractor-trailer near exit 17 then waved a gun at the trucker. Connecticut State Troopers are patrolling highways and roads in Connecticut over this 2018 Memorial Day weekend. During this enforcement period, troopers are utilizing both traditional and non-traditional patrol cars. The enforcement period began at 12:01 a.m. 5/25/18 and will run through 11:59 p.m. on 5/28/18.
