The deadline to submit photographs to the Fairfield Museum’s tenth annual IMAGES Juried Photography Show is approaching. Submissions will be accepted through the contest website through January 22 at 11:59pm. IMAGES 2018 celebrates the exceptional work of talented regional photographers. A jury will select approximately 40 photographs for exhibition at the Fairfield Museum from March 1 to April 15.  IMAGES 2018provides an excellent opportunity for artists to connect with prominent collectors, gallery owners, fellow photographers, and the public. Two grand prize winners will be selected, one Professional/Serious Amateur and one Student. Norwalk News: Narcotics Arrests

#Norwalk CT--During the prior three months, Special Services Investigators conducted a lengthy investigation into Christopher Macdow’s drug sale activities at 8 Charcoal Road. During this time, investigators made three controlled purchases of crack cocaine from Christopher Macdow and co-conspirator Scott Kostrna. On January 16, 2018, the Special Services Division executed search and seizure warrants at 8 Charcoal Road. Macdow and Kostrna were both located inside the residence. Both men were taken into custody on active arrest warrants stemming from their sales of narcotics. Upon searching the residence, officers located over 300 grams of cocaine packaged in 3.5-gram weights bags for sale. Investigators also located over 300 grams of marijuana packaged for sale. Update on Bridgeport’s 1st homicide of 2018

#Bridgeport CT--Just after 12:30am police were called to Revere and Newfield Avenue for two shots fired. Reports say the victim is Jawuan Green, of Read Street was shot in the chest just outside The Snack Shop located at 604 Newfield Avenue, he reportedly stumbled back into the store where he collapsed. Two bullet holes can be seen in the plexiglass door Green was transported by private vehicle to Bridgeport Hospital where he died of his injuries. Two days earlier Green celebrated his 21st birthday. The shooting marks this city's first homicide of 2018.

Bridgeport News: Man Shot

12:37am--#Bridgeport CT-- Police received a call for shots fired on Newfield Avenue, the caller heard two shots but did not see anything.  A few minutes later police received a call from the corner store at Newfield and Revere that a man stumbled inside the store and then collapsed.  The victim was then carried out and transported to Bridgeport Hospital by private vehicle.  There was no word where the man's condition nor where on his body he was shot.
