#Fairfield CT-- The Fairfield Police Department has received information that a number of residents have received phone calls from a group claiming to be collecting funds to purchase ballistic vests for the Fairfield Police Department's K9 Unit. It is not known what group or individual is soliciting these donations; however, they are in no way affiliated with the Fairfield Police Department. Bridgeport News: 3 Shot In

9:30pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Police say 3 people were shot on on Denver Avenue in the city's West Side after a dispute. When I arrived on scene I found one victim at Howard Avenue and Maplewood Avneue and a second victim at Howard Avenue at Howard Place. Police said the three had non-life threatening injuries. One was shot in the shoulder, another in the cheek and the third in the backside.

Stratford News: Chemical Fire

Fire Department UPDATE: At 2220 hrs. the Stratford 911 Center received a 911 call from an employee of Ashcroft Inc. stating that there was a fire inside the building located at 250 East Main Street. The Stratford Fire Marshals Office reports that several second shift employees observed a worsening smoke condition inside the production area. Simultaneously alerting Stratford 911 and initiating an evacuation of the facility, employees applied three portable fire extinguishers to control the fire. Subsequently, the building fire sprinkler system activated due to the worsening conditions holding the fire in check until the arrival of Stratford Fire personnel at 2227 hrs. Today’s Vehicle Fire

Fire Department UPDATE: On February 7, 2018 at 6:15pm Westport Fire Department received a 911 call reporting a truck on fire at 119 North Avenue. The Westport Fire Department initially responded with 2 Engines and the Shift Commander. While responding the Westport Fire Dispatch received information that the vehicle was close to the house and other vehicles. An additional Engine and Ladder truck were dispatched. Engine 6 from the Coleytown Fire Station was first to arrive and reported a contractors van heavily involved in fire. Engine 6 reported no fire threatening the home or other vehicles.
