#Stratford Police Press Release: On 11-14- 2017 an armed robbery occurred at Stratford Center at BAR. The robbery occurred shortly before 7pm when an unknown male entered the bar, approached the bartender and demanded money. The bartender complied, was shot once in the abdomen. The unknown suspect fled the scene on foot and officers are attempting to locate him. At this time a description is not available. The victim was transported to Bridgeport Hospital where is undergoing surgery for his injury. Officers and Investigators are still processing the scene and speaking to witnesses. #Bridgeport CT-- Water main break at Park and North Avenue. City Councilperson Jenette Jeanette Herron was on scene and gathered Fire Chief Thode and Emergency Manager Scott Appleby to give viewers of DoingItLocal an update. Around 9:10pm this evening the water had been turned off. Fire Chief Thode said his main concern was the gas line that runs alongside the water main on North Avenue then "T's" off Park Avenue. There were initial concerns about evacuation due to flooded basements. The surrounding area is blocked off not just to vehicles but pedestrians as well. #Bridgeport CT--Just before 10pm Friday night police pulled over a BMW at the intersection Arctic and Caroline Streets. The driver was suspected of having firearms and high capacity magazines according to police. They arrested 34 year old Martin McKenzie and 38-year-old Locksley Raffington, who is each a convicted felon with a history of firearms offenses. The magazines had 14 rounds in them. Two days previous a man was arrested with a an AR-15 with it's serial number filed off, three magazines and a notebook police said had strange writings including a reference to President Trump.
