Bridgeport News: Police Shoot Robbery Suspect

9:41am-- #Bridgeport CT-- A masked gunman entered and robbed the Eb Lens at 586 Pequonnock Street.  Police was already in the area and were quick to respond to the situation.  The suspect fired at police and police returned fire.  The suspect was shot, police were not hit.  The suspect was transported to St. Vincent's Hospital.  Police are still looking for one more suspect who fled in a vehicle.  Pequonnock to Chestnut Street for the investigation.  Nearby Geraldine Johnson School and Columbus School were placed in lock in/lock out.

Bridgeport News: Beardsley Street Homicide Arrest

#Bridgeport CT-- #Stratford CT--Tonight, detectives arrested Lonnie Mebane (DOB: 9/30/64) at his house at 65 Masarik Ave in Stratford and served him with an arrest warrant charging him with the murder of Eric Diaz, which occurred at Beardsley Street and Newfield Avenue on the evening of September 14, 2017. Mebane allegedly shot Diaz during a robbery that occurred when Diaz entered his car to sell drugs to him. Mebane is being held on a $1,000,000 bond.

Stratford News: Bar Robbery/Shooting Photos

#Stratford CT-- Stratford Police released photos from the robbery at Bar at 2399 Main Street last night.  As you can see the robber was masked and identification from these images will be difficult. The bartender was shot in the stomach and is in stable condition after surgery.  The bartender turned over cash during the robbery but was still shot.  Anyone with any information please contact Stratford Police at 203- 385-4100.

Stratford News: Bartender Shot During Robbery

#Stratford Police Press Release: On 11-14- 2017 an armed robbery occurred at Stratford Center at BAR. The robbery occurred shortly before 7pm when an unknown male entered the bar, approached the bartender and demanded money. The bartender complied, was shot once in the abdomen. The unknown suspect fled the scene on foot and officers are attempting to locate him. At this time a description is not available. The victim was transported to Bridgeport Hospital where is undergoing surgery for his injury. Officers and Investigators are still processing the scene and speaking to witnesses.
