Stratford News: Fraud Arrest

#Stratford Connecticut–On 02-27- 2017 Kimberly Lawton age 43 of Stratford was arrested by warrant for defrauding the United Illuminating Company of $4,823. The warrant is the result of an investigation started in October of 2016. Lawton allegedly used fake identities and social security numbers to obtain services from the UI and then did not pay the fees for the service. Lawton was arrested on 02-27- 2017 and charged with the following. 53a-124 Larceny 3rd 53a-130 Criminal Impersonation 53a-129d Identity Theft 3 rd .  Kimberly was given a court date of 03/08/2017, Bridgeport GA-2.

Bridgeport News: House Fire

1:10am–#Bridgeport Connecticut–Firefighters were called to a structure fire at 57 Carver Street.  Firefighters found heavy fire in the rear of the home on the second floor.  They had the bulk of the fire knocked down within fifteen minutes and chased hot spots for another fifteen minutes.  There was no word on any injuries.  Fire marshal was called in to investigate the cause of the fire.

 

Bridgeport News: Bicyclist and Bicycle Caught In Turnstile

12:12am—#Bridgeport Connecticut– Firefighters were called to the apartments at 70 Fremont Street for a bicyclist and bicycle stuck in the turnstile.  Firefighters had him free within 15 minutes.  This is probably the 3rd or 4th time firefighters were called to do this in the last year.

Norwalk New: Threats Made At BMHS

On March 7, 2017, Brien McMahon High School (BMHS) Administration contacted the School Resource Officer assigned to BMHS regarding a threats complaint involving a BMHS student. The student had made an illustration that was perceived as threatening towards other students and staff. The student also made a list of students and staff who might be the subject of the threat.

The School Resource Officer and Investigators from the Special Victims Unit immediately initiated an investigation and were able to obtain the aforementioned illustration and list. Investigators subsequently arrested the student and determined that the student did not have the means by which to carry out the threat. SVU Investigators contacted all of the individuals on the list and made them aware of the threat.

Arrested: Juvenile, 14 year old  Charges: (21) counts of Breach of Peace  Released to parents on a promise to appear at Bridgeport Juvenile Court
