On October 12, 2016, a Westport PD Detective was in the area of Post Rd E and Bulkley Ave investigating an unrelated incident when he noticed a silver vehicle bearing out of state plates. The detective watched the vehicle and its occupants from a distance and observed the passengers exit the vehicle and walk one direction while the vehicle began to drive away in another direction. This heightened the suspicion and other units responded to the area. All three occupants were eventually stopped and an investigation was initiated. All three parties had different stories as to their purpose in Westport that we could not corroborate.
