10:49pm–#Bridgeport Connecticut– Just before 10pm shots rang out inside the El Paraiso Restaurant at 1024 Madison Avenue. The victim who has not been identified at this time was rushed to St. Vincent’s Hospital where he died from the shooting. A flip flop can be seen in the back of the restaurant where the victim was transported to the ambulance, the other flip flop was inside the restaurant. Police have just begun investigating and evaluating video from area businesses. Witnesses told me the shooting was a set up. A white car was seen speeding from the scene right after the shooting.

8:40pm–#Bridgeport Connecticut– A person was shot at building 5 at Greene Homes on Highland Avenue. Firefighters the person shot while on an unrelated medical call. The person is in stable condition according to radio reports.

6:11pm–#Bridgeport Connecticut– There was an explosion on the back deck of 92/94 Merchant Street and then fire quickly spread throughout the multi family home. A child was inside and an adult ran inside to rescue the child before the flames got out of control. Firefighters were quick on the scene and verified no one was inside the house. The flames did endanger the neighboring home but again firefighters were able to spray the home and protect it. Within the hour firefighters had the fire under control.

4:28am–#Bridgeport Connecticut– A person was shot in front of 663 East Main. The victim arrived at Bridgeport Hospital in a private vehicle. Police are investigating.

#Meriden Connecticut–The Connecticut Heroes Foundation held their 12th Annual Memorial Tribue at Hubbard Park in Meriden Saturday. Over the years the foundation has honored 54 fallen heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. This years honorees were Corporal Frank Navarro, Captain Andrew Pedersen-Keel, SP4 Phillip Ruminski, Jr., CUCM/DV Robert Steehem adn LTC Ronald Storz. Many local, state and federal officials attended.
