Aaron Miller (09-13-1994) is a convicted felon, who has nine prior arrests, most of which are related to the sale and possession of illegal narcotics. According to Chief Porter, an individual outside told firefighters that a second person was still inside, prompting an aggressive interior search and rescue effort alongside fire suppression operations. Despite those efforts, one person inside the home succumbed to their injuries. Chief Porter stated that firefighters faced no operational issues, with water supply, ventilation, and rescue efforts all going “textbook.” Officials also confirmed there were no working smoke detectors inside the home. Firefighters were called to the scene of a home on Hallock Street in Bridgeport, for a house fire. They had to run a firehose line from Main Street, where unconfirmed radio reports say that cars ran over the hose line. Firefighters handled the situation and knocked down the fire. The extent of the injuries is unknown at the time, and the State Fire Marshal was called to the scene.
Fairfield, CT — The Fairfield Police Department arrested two individuals on 3/4/2026 following an investigation into package thefts in the area of James Street and Pratt Street. At approximately 1:50 PM, police received a complaint of two individuals removing packages from residential properties. Responding officers locate the suspect vehicle in the area and identified the occupants as Teon Thomas, 24, of Rochester, NY, and Dawud Gause-Seignious, 23, of Wyandanch New York. Through the investigation, officers determined that the suspects were involved in a scheme using fictitious names to order energy efficient thermostats through a rebate program and have them delivered to residential addresses in Fairfield. At approximately 3:50 p.m., Bridgeport Police Department responded to the 120 block of Orchard Street following a ShotSpotter activation. No injuries were reported. Police say the vehicle involved fled Orchard Street and was tracked to the downtown Bridgeport area, near Lafayette Square and Fairfield Avenue. Two individuals have since been apprehended. The investigation remains ongoing, and no additional information has been released at this time.
Today's vehicle fire was hosted by Fairfield in the Edge Fitness parking lot at 500 Kings Highway Cutoff. The car was fully engulfed and spread to surrounding cars. Firefighters quickly took care of it.
