1:20pm–#Bridgeport CT–Report of a kitchen fire at 26 Jillijam Place, firefighters on scene reporting light smoke is visible from the road. They found the fire to be out when they went inside and checking to see if it extended elsewhere. Fire was contained to the exhaust duct. Firefighters had one hose in operation.

Bridgeport, Conn. (November 6, 2015) — Today, the Bridgeport Police Department announced an investigation into an incident where three people were shot and one of them has died. On November 5 at 6:45 p.m., police officers responded to calls regarding shots fired in the area of Washington Ave. and Center St.
Upon arrival, police officers found two victims suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The first victim, 22-year-old Miguel Arguelles of Hanover Street, suffered gunshot wounds to the neck and shoulder. Arguelles was transported to St. Vincent’s Hospital by ambulance. At the hospital, Arguelles was pronounced dead, and the incident was confirmed as a homicide. The second victim, a 22-year-old male, suffered a gunshot wound to the stomach. The victim was transported to St. Vincent’s Hospital by ambulance. He is in critical condition.
A third victim, a 21-year-old male, suffered a gunshot wound to the leg. The victim was transported to St. Vincent’s Hospital by a private vehicle.
This incident brings the total number of homicides in Bridgeport since Jan. 1, 2015 to 16. Police officers and detectives are actively investigating several leads.

On Tuesday night November 3rd, 2015 A Westport officer on routine patrol on South Compo Road located a vehicle parked partially in the road with it lights off. The officer approached the vehicle and located two people in the car. While speaking with the vehicle occupants the officer suspected that there may be narcotics in the vehicle and requested a Police Service Dog. A Norwalk Police Officer and his Police Service Dog arrived on scene. The Police Service Dog gave a positive indication for the presence of narcotics in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed one heroin packet and drug paraphernalia. Additionally a search incidental to her arrest, police located two fake $20 bills. The $20 bills appear to have been photocopied and then cut to size, making them appear to be real.
Arrested was Briana Pennell (age 32) of Westport Connecticut Pennell was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia C.G.S 21a-267 Possession of Controlled Substance C.G.S 21a-279(a) Forgery 3rd C.G.S 53a-140 Pennell was unable to post a $1000 bond and was issued a court date in November 16th, 2015 at Norwalk Court. 12:31pm–#Stratford CT– A police pursuit originating on Route 8/25 by Bridgeport Police is approaching Sikorsky on the River Road headed towards Shelton. The plates come back to a Shelton address. The driver is wanted for trying to run an officer down with his car.
