UPDATE: Bridgeport Police Report:  At 4:27PM this afternoon, it was reported to the Bridgeport Police Department that a body was found in the water near the intersection of Knowlton St. and Arctic St. Shortly thereafter, the Bridgeport Fire Department retrieved the deceased from the water. According to a police press release: There was no trauma found to the body of the 33 year-old male who was wearing an orange shirt, blue jeans, boxers, tan belt, and a baseball cap. No cause of death has been determined at this time. The Bridgeport Police Department is actively investigating. Bridgeport Police Issue 1,002 Tickets For Driving Distracted

Bridgeport CT - The Bridgeport Police Department handed out 1,002 tickets for driving while using a mobile phone in April as part of the statewide “U Drive. U Text. U Pay.” enforcement campaign and National Distracted Driving Month. Bridgeport Police joined officers from 50 towns and cities in Connecticut, plus state troopers, during phase 2 of U Drive/U Text/U Pay.
