Norwalk News: Pedestrian Killed

On June 21, 2024, at 9:20 AM, Norwalk Combined Dispatch received a 911 call requesting emergency response to 81 Riverside Avenue (Riverside Cemetery) for a report of a motor vehicle accident involving injuries, where a pedestrian was struck. Norwalk Police, Norwalk Fire Department, and Norwalk Hospital Emergency Medical Service were immediately dispatched to the scene. Norwalk Patrol Officers arrived alongside Norwalk Firefighters, who began providing medical aid to the pedestrian, 59-year-old Kathleen Quigley-Cutting. Kathleen Quigley-Cutting was transported to Norwalk Hospital by Norwalk Emergency Medical Service for serious injuries. She later succumbed to her injuries. The Norwalk Police Department Crime Scene Unit, along with Crash Reconstruction Investigators, responded to the location and assumed the investigation. We ask any persons with information…

The victim was struck in the face with a pipe while holding his child, resulting in the child falling to the ground on Harral Avenue. Emergency medical services were immediately dispatched to the scene to provide care for both the father and the child. Both were evaluated and treated for their injuries. The individual responsible for the attack was promptly identified, apprehended, and transported to the booking facility for further processing. The incident is under investigation, and further details will be provided as they become available.

Bridgeport News: Arrest Made In Today’s Homicide

On June 19, 2024, at approximately 9:20 a.m., Bridgeport Police responded to a report of a shooting in the 1200 block of Iranistan Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found a 24-year-old Bridgeport man with an apparent gunshot wound to the head. AMR Ambulance quickly transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where he later died. The Detective Bureau Homicide Squad has taken charge of the investigation, and the crime scene on Iranistan Avenue has been secured. Forensic Identification Unit Detectives are currently processing the scene. Bridgeport News: Drowning UPDATE

On Saturday evening, June 15th, at approximately 8PM, Bridgeport Police, Bridgeport Fire, and Emergency Medical Services responded to a residence on Orland Street, of a report of a 3-year-old child found unresponsive in a small 3-foot children's pool. Upon arrival, first responders immediately began CPR and other life-saving measures on the child. The child was rushed to Bridgeport Hospital and later pronounced dead.
