9:33pm--#Fairfield CT-- A woman passerby called police that she saw a black woman with a bloody nose be forced into a car by a Hispanic man in the Chip's parking lot on Tunxis Hill Road. The car then fled down Tunxis Hill towards Kohl's. Police are investigating.
8:32pm--#Fairfield CT--Police are investigating a possible abduction attempt in the wooded near the soccer/lacrosse field at Fairfield University. K-9 Ruger was tracking on College Point Road. I will have a video report shortly.
8:19pm--#Bridgeport CT--Police on the way to Bridgeport Hospital where a man was sprayed in the face with a foreign substance by someone he knows. The incident took place on Livingston Place.
#Bridgeport, CT – June 5, 2014 – Police arrested a suspect hours after a daylight shooting that happened shortly before noon today. George Padilla, 24, of Bridgeport, was taken into custody this evening and arrested on counts including criminal attempt at murder. He currently is being booked at Police Headquarters. “This was a brazen shooting that happened in broad daylight,” said Capt. James Viadero. “Through cooperation from the community and great detective work, we were able to apprehend the suspect quickly.” A handgun has been recovered and will be examined to determine if it was the weapon used in the shooting. #Bridgeport CT--Police have made an arrest in connection to the shooting today at Beechwood and Norman Street. William Merrero, 29 was shot multiple times in the head and chest, he is expected to survive the incident.

4:20pm--#Bridgeport CT--An Cessna is 15 miles out and has lost its alternator and is attemping to land at Sikorsky Airport at 1000 Great Meadow Road. Firefighters on the way.
11:30ish--#Bridgeport CT--Detectives are investigating a serious shooting that happened this morning at approximately 11:30 a.m.near the corner of Beechwood Avenue and Norman Street. Police have a tentative identification on the victim, who is believed to be in his late 20s or early 30s. Detective are working to confirm his identity, so the name is not being released at this time. Detectives are being told by medical staff that he is expected to survive. He appears to have been shot multiple times in the head and chest. The investigation remains in its early stages.
