Bridgeport News: Car Crashes Into Police Car

9:22pm--#Bridgeport CT--Police are investigating an accident involving one of their own on Bishop Avenue.  The crash occurred just under the railroad overpass just passed the Hell's Angel's Clubhouse.  I'm told the injuries were minor and did not require medical attention.  An ambulance sent to the scene left empty.  It appears the civilian's car crossed the double yellow line crashing into the police car.   The accident took place in the middle of the Arrive Alive safety program aimed to Bridgeport Police Officers.  The scene was blocked off, even pedestrian traffic was not permitted.  The road reopened around 10:15pm.

Westport News: Subway Armed Robbery

Westport CT- Westport Police responded to the Subway Restaurant located at #903 Post Rd East on a reported robbery. Employees of the store indicated that an individual entered the store at approximately 10:10 am, he is described as a black male, 6’ tall, muscular build wearing a dark blue hoodie, dark grey or black pants, a black ski type mask with only his eyes exposed, black gloves and displayed a silver colored handgun. The employees retreated to the rear of the store at the sight of the armed individual and he then went behind the counter and removed the cash box from the register.
